Adding and Deleting Your Private listing

Step 1

Access the main screen for Equipment Search (www.equipmentsearch.com).

In the bottom left hand of the screen you will see a category in the information section called "Members Only". Single click it with your mouse.

Step 2: Secure Administration Access

Type your "Username" and "Password" supplied to you by Equipment Search and click on the "Login" button.

Step 3: Editing Tools

Up will come the "Editing Tools" screen, which will give you several options in maintaining your web site. The main categories are as follows:

User Preferences- This allows you to change information such as you address, directions, phone and fax , email etc.

Create Ads- Allows you to create your own personal ad.

Edit Ads- Allows you to change or delete any ads you have on the system. If you have no ads on the system, this option will not appear.

Add Association Link- In "add association link" this option will allow you to add perhaps your club or associations direct link. It will go into a pending que and once reviewed by the office it will be activated. Equipment Search reserves the final approval on any links based on our judgement as the final decision.

Step 4: Creating Ads

Click on create ads. Under the "Ad Editor" choose the type of ad you want to create by using your mouse to click on the downward arrow. Highlight the category and then press next. Doing the same process, select the category that is most appropriate for the ad you are creating and press next.

The next screen is the actual ad that will be displayed. Fill in the "Manufacturer", "Model" and "Engine Manufacturer" by using the arrows to highlight the category or type it in the "Other" box supplied. Put in the "Quantity", "Year" and "Price" without using and commas, dollar signs etc…( case sensitive )

Fill in the rest of the category fields that are given underneath to help best describe your product being sold.

In the comment box supplied, type in what best describes your product to the customer such as specifications, conditions etc… (Remember that this section is what grabs the potential customers attention.)

Once you have filled out the screen press the save button at the bottom.

Step 5: Adding Your Picture

Once you have saved the text portion of your ad, a screen will appear asking if you have a picture you want to insert into the ad you have just created. If the picture is stored on your computer press the browse button and go find the image file on your system. Single click on the appropriate picture ( okay )and the system will grab it, format it and resize it to fit into the ad. This may take a few seconds so be patient, it is now actually uploading the image to the server.

Up will come the picture you have selected on the screen. If this is the picture you want for your ad press save, if not then click "Browse" from this screen and select another picture. Then press "Try Again" and the system will once again Grab it, format it, and resize it to fit into the ad. Now that you have the correct photo in the preview, press save and the system will insert the picture into the ad and upload it onto the system immediately.

Important to note: If you do not have a picture saved on the system, you can go back later and edit your ad to insert the picture.

Step 6: Editing and Deleting Your Ads

Log into your "Editing Tools" section(only if you are logged out). This is the section right after you have logged in. Click on the "Edit Ad" link, and up will come your advertisement. Choose either edit or delete by selecting the link . Push the delete button to erase the ad or edit if you need to change any of the categories. If you choose to edit an ad then fill out the changes needed or change the picture if required. Remember that if you created an ad without a picture you can now insert it using the ad editor. Go to where it states add photo or change photo and press the button. Follow the on screen instructions as noted in "Step 5: Adding Your Picture".
